Charles "Bubba" Wesley Suggs Jr, 71, of Evansville, IN went to his eternal home July 12th, 2022 surrounded by his loving children. Charles was born December 22, 1950 to Charles Sr. and Edna McNeal Suggs. He was the oldest of 13 children, and he took that title very seriously. Charles graduated from North High School where he played on the football team. He joined the United States Navy where he served until a injury sent him home. He attended University of Southern Indiana where he developed a interest in heating and cooling systems as well as engineering. Charles was employed as a maintenance supervisor at Alcoa. After 29 years, he retired only to move on to Carver Community Organization. Charles was also employed with channel 25 and the city of Evansville. Though he was "retired", he continued to do various jobs for people in the community, regardless of their ability to pay.
Charles was a member of American Legion post 354 and Cawthar Temple, as well as a United States Navy veteran. Before his illness, Charles was somewhat of a "social butterfly". He loved fishing and eating out with family and friends, especially at the casino. He just loved to have a good time.
Charles loved his family, especially his grandchildren. His saying was, "ask Pampaw and I'll get it for you". Charles was preceded in death by his mother and father. He leaves to cherish his memories, sons, Carl Taylor (Maai) Henderson, KY, Tabari Suggs (Raquel) Miami, FL, and Jafar Suggs, Evansville; daughters Kamilah Suggs (Daniel Brown), Takiyah Stewart (Ashon), and LaShawna Suggs all of Evansville; Brothers- Tony(Patricia), Terry, Larry, and Timothy. Sisters- Denise Sellars(Jesse), Calasha Posey, Anna Carter (Sam), Loretta White (Andrew), Sandra Smith (Leon), Charlotte, Ann, and Faye. ; 27 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
