Carol Ann Heady Coles, 65, of Louisville, Kentucky entered the arms of her heavenly father on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at River Oaks Rehab Center in Louisville. Kentucky. Carol was born on December 25, 1960, to James “Jimmy” Heady and Bertha Brown Heady
Carol possessed a vibrant spirit and was always able to make you laugh. After high school Carol enlisted in the United States Army Reserves. Doing so allowed her to travel the world and visit several countries. Carol was devout in her faith. She was a member of Shively Church of Christ in Louisville, Ky. She was a member of the Bible Line Class that meets every night to study God’s word. She also was a regular on the ladies Bible Class that met on Sundays at 4:30. She was always seeking a clearer understanding of God’s word. In 2025 after a season of searching her heart, she decided to join “Lady Prayer Warriors’ 100 Days of prayer. Where she participated with other Sisters in prayer each day for an unbroken chain of 100 Days. She was always willing to share God’s word to anyone. Carol loved children although she had none of her own, she was a foster mother and worked in a home for children with special needs in Maryland. She had a love for cats. There are many friends that she was dear to and loved her. Carol will be deeply missed by those who knew her.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents, James Robert Heady and Bertha Louise Heady, brother, Leslie Vernon Heady, sisters, Vanessa Templeton, Brenda Cunningham, Cathy Heady,
She leaves fond memories to her brothers, David Heady and James Wesley Heady, Her caregiver niece, Schivonda Heady, a host of nieces, nephew cousins, extended family, and countless friends.
In lieu of flowers to family, please send flowers or donate to River Oaks Health and Rehab, 920 S 4th St., Louisville Ky 40203. In Carol's memory to brighten the day of the residences.
