Carol Ann Bingham

March 27, 1949 — September 14, 2021

Carol Ann Cabell McGee Bingham was born on March 27, 1949 to the late Guy Cabell, Sr. and Elsie Jagoe Cabell in Evansville, IN. She was raised in Hopkinsville, KY by her grandparents Beulah Rose & Marshall Jagoe. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Mama Rose & Daddy Marshall; siblings Guy Jr., Beulah, Larry Sr., Linda, and infant sister Susan Cabell. She departed this life peacefully at home on September 13, 2021.
She was educated in the public schools of Christian County, and later attended Austin Peay State University. She professed a hope in Christ at an early age and was baptized. She worked at various places including Western State in Hopkinsville, KY; Central State in Louisville, Kentucky as well as the YWCA in Evansville, IN. She retired in 2014, although she helped and worked part-time and as needed at her son and daughter-in-love's childcare center, Little Jewels & Gems Childcare Center.

Carol was one of the Cabell women known for her intelligence as well as being very outspoken. She also was the one who didn't mind meeting people where they were no matter their bank account or status. She never felt like she was better or less than anyone from the poor to the rich. She could often be found visiting small clubs listening to blues music, flashing that gold tooth with a big smile, and with her blonde hair while she sat and grooved to the beat. Carol had friends she worked with, friends she went to bingo with, and friends she was around when the time was right to enjoy life.

She leaves to cherish her memory, sons, Dytanya (Lynn) McGee & Marshall Talifario (Chanell) McGee; grandchildren Alexander and Xavier McGee; siblings, Shirley Moore (Alonzo), Elsie Elaine Jackson, Donald Cabell (Yolanda), Rita Cabell-Pettus, Tony Cabell (Yoshiko), Tim Cabell (Sondra); husband Robert Bingham, 19 nieces, & nephews, 37 great-nieces & nephews and a host of cousins, colleagues, and sorrowing friends.

A Memorial service will be held Friday, October 1, 2021 at Osborne Funeral Home at 11"00 a.m. Osborne has final care.
