Carl Douglas "Shoestring" Crenshaw

October 14, 1958 — March 4, 2019

Carl Douglas Crenshaw, 60, “Shoestring” was born to Robert Hanley and Queenie Mae Crenshaw in Evansville, IN. October 14, 1958. He began his journey with the Lord, March 4th, 2019 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville.
Carl was a very respectable and loveable man, who enjoyed fishing, bingo, and spending time with his grandkids. He really enjoyed listening to his old school music and spending time with his wife, Marlene. His smile lit up the room, and his laugh was infectious. He was loved by everyone he met.
He was a member of Memorial Baptist Church with his wife.
Carl was preceded in death by his father, Robert Hanley of Missouri, and Aunt Jen Crenshaw and a granddaughter Loreal.
He is survived by his loving wife Marlene, his mother; Queenie Crenshaw, 2 uncles; Douglas Crenshaw and Carl Crenshaw, his 2 aunts; Peaches of Indianapolis and Emma Jane Opheial Jackson of California, 10 brothers; Robert Crenshaw (Mary), Chauncey Crenshaw, George Crenshaw, Douglas Finch, John Finch, James Crenshaw (Melissa), Timothy Warfield, Claudie Warfield, Robert Hanley, and Darren Hanley of Missouri. 2 sisters; Linda Payton and Brenda. Sons; Carl Crenshaw Jr. (Amanda), Anthony Crenshaw, daughter Monica Henderson (Loren) and Tamika Crenshaw. 4 step-sons; Darenso Jones, Christopher Jones, Craig Jones, (Laura), and Marc Jones. 29 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and a host of cousins and friends.
The family would like to thank all the caregiver at Deaconess Hospital who cared for him. Osborne has been entrusted with final care.

Visitation will be Tuesday, 10 am until noon with funeral to begin at 12 noon at Memorial Baptist Church. Osborne Funeral Home has final care.
