Caprice Rita Gunn

Caprice Rita Gunn (Bazzard) was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 18, 1973, to Danny Nutall and Sabrina Bazzard. Caprice departed this life on April 26, 2025, at the IU Health Simon Cancer Center in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Caprice had worked as a CNA for over 30 years at various facilities. She loved caring for her residents.

She was a beloved member of New Beginnings Church where she was very active. She had served as a Church Clerk, a member of the choir and anywhere that she could lend a hand.

Caprice was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star (OES) - where she graciously modeled their core values and served as the chapter's treasurer.

In her free time, Caprice loved shopping anytime she had an opportunity. She loved to dance and go to the movies. She enjoyed concerts and had a passion for traveling. She enjoyed planning great trips for her and her family. They traveled to many countries and around the United States. Caprice enjoyed life to it's fullest enjoying every moment she could. Her greatest joy of all was being with her family.

Her loving, caring and adventurous spirit will be greatly missed by those she left behind.

Caprice is survived by her mother and father, her husband, Jimmy Gunn, her daughters; Daseanda Davis, Abreiya Flax and Oceanik Garrett and 3 stepchildren she loved dearly. And she's also survived by many brothers and sisters, and six grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be Saturday. May 3, 2025 At 11:00am at New Beginnings Church, Visitation will begin at 9 am at the church.
