Betty Jean Meriweather

Betty Jean Meriweather 73, of Evansville In. passed away December 22, 2023. She was born March 13, 1950, to Cecila Cabell and McKinney Young. She was 1 of 5 siblings.

Betty was an active employee at the Executive Inn for many years. Betty loved being around family, especially her great grandchildren. She enjoyed going to church and preaching the word of God to her grandchildren Betty was married to James Meriweather in 1969 they moved and lived in Chicago for 10 years before returning to Evansville. She had three children and six stepchildren.

Betty is proceeded in death by her mother, father, sister, Augusta Hathaway, Brother, Winford Gamble, son, Lorenzo Young, daughter, Deondria Meriweather and her husband.

Betty is survived by sister, Patricia Greenwell, brother McKinney Brooks. Son, Anthony Young, grandchildren Nabresha, Lorenzo, Iesha, and Caitlyn Young, Destiny Johnson Juhmon Santiago and Terron Young and a total of 13 great grandchildren. A host of niece's nephews and cousins. She will be missed.

Visitation will be Friday, 10 to 11a.m. with funeral following at 11a.m. at Osborne Funeral Home. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery following services.
