Anthony Lynn Mabry “Tony” was born on January 14, 1956
in Flint, Michigan to Moses G. and Thomasene Mabry. He departed
this life for his eternal home on July 8, 2019 at Deaconess Gateway
Hospital with several family members at his side. Tony was a loving
family member and will be sorely missed.
Tony was a graduate of Northwestern High School in Flint and
had taken several college courses through the years. He had the opportunity
to live and work in several cities including, Flint, MI, Wilmington,
DE, Tampa, FL, Fort Worth, TX and Evansville, IN.
Tony was a person who enjoyed life and people. He loved to
laugh and could always find a way to make everyone else laugh as
well. Tony loved parties, celebrations and dancing—he was the “life
of the party!”
Tony also loved games. He was a fierce competitor! His intelligence
and superior memory made him a very excellent opponent at
chess, dominos, pool, and any card game.
Tony fully embraced his faith as an adult. Since moving to Evansville,
14 years ago, he has been a member of Memorial Baptist
Church. His passion was always for young people and helping them to
avoid unnecessary setbacks in their lives.
