Amy Sue Offutt born December 29, 1951 in Evansville, IN., departed this life on June 30, 2018 at the age of 66 surrounded in the love of her family.
Amy is preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Carl Offutt and Rena Offutt; brothers Donald Offutt, Larry Offutt, Bernard Offutt, Micheal Offutt; sisters Barbara Offutt Woodfork, Alma Carlene Offutt Sanderson, Beverly Offutt Ussery and Hattie Offutt.
Amy was a graduate of Central High School she also attended Ivy Tech College. She was employed by St. Vincent Day Care, Faultless Caster’s, Arkla Industries and later retired from Uniseal Inc. in 2003 after 18 years of service. She was a part of the writer’s guild, she participated in the African American Museum and was active at the Dream Center, she was also certified as a foster parent with DCS.
Some of Amy's favorite pastimes were drawing, writing poetry, books, singing and song writing, but most of all she loved spending time with family and caring for the children of the family.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her brother: Thomas Offutt of North Carolina, sister Harriett Offutt Hall of Illinois: and a host of nephews and nieces: Kenneth Pettitt, Yolanda Offutt, Katreesa Ussery Sullivan, Nathaniel Ussery, Mike Sherman, Andre Sherman, Aaron Maffett, Lameshia Fellows Mitchell, LaTiese Reed, Tyreshia Offutt, and her kind-ship foster children/nephews Aramis Bushrod and Deshaun Smith both of Evansville and many, many more.
