Alice L. Ellis, 89 loved God and people. A life well lived has transitioned. Sunrise 05Aug1933 to Sunset 25Feb2023.
Ms. Alice loved life, laughter, and living in the moment. She was a loyal and faithful church member of Cleaves Memorial Church all her life until she was unable to attend. She continued to support the work of the ministry through prayers and financial contributions and virtual attendance when available. She loved to cook while listening to music, play bingo, go to the Kentucky derby, and watch television game shows. Alice was the life of any party. She was very generous and kind to those in need and supported many charitable organizations.
Alice L. Ellis was born 05Aug1933 in Evansville, IN. She was the fourth daughter of the late John Henry Snorton and Maggie Bell (Dulin) Snorton. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and was baptized. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School in Evansville, IN.
Alice Snorton was united in Holy Matrimony to Robert Ellis and often says this was the best day of her life. Alice best advice is to “put your trust in God.”
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Robert Ellis; her two older sisters Isabelle Powell, Constance Wade, and her older brother John Snorton.
She leaves on earth her cousins Elise Eaves, Nancy Ann, Fannie Mae, Willie Cox, Jennifer and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, church members, and best friend Ms. Emma Harris.
Service for Ms. Alice will be Saturday. Visitation 10 to 11 am with funeral to begin at 11:00 am at Osborne Funeral Home.
