Christopher James Johnson

July 25, 1980 — September 30, 2021

Christopher James Johnson was born July 25, 1980 to Charles and Joycelyn Johnson. Christopher gained his heavenly wings and was summonsed home by our Lord and Savior on September 30, 2021. He was a member of Bethany Apostolic Church, Evansville, IN, Pastor Bishop G.W. Frazier, where he was baptized around the age of nine in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and filled with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues. He was an excellent musician, playing the drums, keyboard and organ masterfully at his home church, PCAF Tr-state Councils.
Christopher worked at Bootz manufacturing, and was a traveling musician with "The Chapter" Choir of New Hope Baptist Church, Evansville, IN. In 2000, he moved to Louisville, KY and became a member of Grace Apostolic Church, Pastor Bishop Cordery, and was also on the music staff there where he played the organ. Chris was a known musician, who was a part of the musical staff at a variety of churches in Indiana and Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his father Charles Johnson and grandparents Harry and Birdie Mae Cobb.
Chris leaves to cherish his memory his daughters: Tiana Finch and Riley Byrd; his mother, Joycelyn Hawkins (Robert); siblings: Cynthia Johnson, Charity Johnson and Charles Johnson; and a host of Uncles, Aunts, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021 at 11:00am at Bethesda Ministries International Inc., 1820 Stringtown Road, Evansville, IN. Osborne has been entrusted with final care.
