Audrey Yvonne Hampton

Audrey Yvonne Carter Hampton was born September 28, 1962, to the late Frank Thomas Hampton and late Agnes Elizabeth Butler. Audrey received her education at Scott High School in Toledo, Ohio. Audrey was employed at various of places around Evansville, Indiana, to include: Evansville African American Museum, Goodwill, and House of Bread and Peace.

To cherish her memories, Audrey leaves behind her children Thomas (Jocelyn) Hampton & Andre Hampton ( Jamie Gordon). Grandchildren: Arianna Hampton, Thomas Hampton, Jonae Hampton, Christopher Hampton, Au'Dri Hampton aka. lil Audrey, Mi'kayla Gordon, Daunte Butler, and Nai'Jah Dilworth. Two Great- Grandsons: Tremonie and Tristan Hooks. Siblings: Tony Hampton and Chanel Hampton. Aunts and Uncles: David(Tonya) Carter, Katie Hall, Ralph Carter, and Mary Garrett. Special friend Michael Shannon. Confidant Thomas Payne (buckwheat). A host of nephews, cousins, and friends.

Audrey hobbies were dancing, walking, cooking, bowling, and fishing. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and held a special bond with each one of them. Audrey was full of life and enjoyed being around family members. She will be missed dearly and grieved by everyone who was blessed to have known her.
A visitation will be held Saturday, Oct 12th from 10 - Noon with funeral to begin at 12 Noon at Victory Temple COGIC.
